Who is responsible?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The person who runs this website is responsible for your data. You find the contact details in the Imprint \/ Impressum on this website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. What data do we collect?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you fill in the registration form, we save these things:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; **Your name or nickname** (required)<br \/>\n&#8211; **Your e-mail address** (required)<br \/>\n&#8211; **Your location or starting point** (optional, for example: &#8222;Berlin&#8220;)<br \/>\n&#8211; **Your message to us** (optional)<br \/>\n&#8211; **Your choice for photos:** yes or no. This says if we may show photos of you on the website or on social media.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Your confirmation that you have read this privacy policy** (required)<br \/>\n&#8211; **Your confirmation that you are really coming** (required)<br \/>\n&#8211; **Date and time of your registration**<br \/>\n&#8211; **A verification code** and **a cancellation code**. We need these codes to confirm your e-mail and to let you cancel later.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Your IP address** is used for a short time (5 minutes) to stop spam. We do not save the IP long-term.<\/p>\n<p>After the event, the admin may also save:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; If you came to the event, if you did not come, or if you were excused.<br \/>\n&#8211; Your personal numbers for the hike: kilometres, metres up, metres down, hours.<br \/>\n&#8211; These numbers go into a **member list** so we can see who joined how many events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Why do we use your data?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We use your data only for these reasons:<\/p>\n<p>1. **To register you** for the event you choose.<br \/>\n2. **To send you e-mails** about your registration:<br \/>\n&#8211; First e-mail: link to confirm your e-mail address (double opt-in).<br \/>\n&#8211; Second e-mail: full confirmation with all event details.<br \/>\n&#8211; Cancel e-mail: if you want to cancel, you get a link to confirm the cancellation.<br \/>\n3. **To organise the event** (for example: to know how many people come).<br \/>\n4. **To keep a member list** with your event history (only if you actually attended).<br \/>\n5. **To protect the form from spam** (honeypot field and rate limit by IP).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a04. Legal basis (GDPR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; **Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR** \u2014 We need your data to do what you asked for: register you for the event.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR** \u2014 You give consent for the photo option and for the privacy policy checkbox.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR** \u2014 We have a legitimate interest to stop spam (honeypot, rate limit).<\/p>\n<p>You can take back your consent at any time. This does not change what was legal before you took it back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Where is the data stored?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your data is stored in the WordPress database of this website. The server is operated by our hosting provider. We do not send your data to third countries outside the EU.<\/p>\n<p>E-mails are sent through the mail system of the server. Please check the imprint for the hoster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a06. How long do we keep your data?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; **Registrations for events in the future:** until the event is over.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Registrations for past events:** up to 24 months, so we can look back on the history. After that, we delete or anonymise them.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Member list (name, e-mail, number of events, total kilometres):** as long as you are an active member. You can ask us to delete your entry at any time.<br \/>\n&#8211; **IP address for spam protection:** only 5 minutes, then it is gone.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Verification and cancel codes:** are removed after you click the link.<\/p>\n<p>If the law says we must keep some data longer, we will do that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Who can see your data?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; **The admin of the website** can see all registrations and the member list.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Other visitors** can see only your name and your location on the participant list of the event. They cannot see your e-mail address or your message.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Your e-mail provider** delivers the e-mails we send to you.<br \/>\n&#8211; We do **not** sell your data. We do **not** share it with advertisers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a08. Cookies and tracking<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This plugin itself does not set cookies. It does not use Google Analytics or other tracking tools. WordPress may set its own cookies for sessions and comments. Please look at the general privacy policy of this website for more details.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Your rights<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the GDPR you have these rights. You can use them for free:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; **Right to information** (Art. 15): ask us what data we have about you.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Right to correction** (Art. 16): ask us to fix wrong data.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Right to deletion** (Art. 17): ask us to delete your data.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Right to restriction** (Art. 18): ask us to stop using your data for a time.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Right to data portability** (Art. 20): get your data in a file.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Right to object** (Art. 21): say no to the use of your data.<br \/>\n&#8211; **Right to complain** (Art. 77): make a complaint to a data protection authority.<\/p>\n<p>To use these rights, please write to the contact address in the imprint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a010. How can I cancel my registration?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Use the cancellation form on the website. Enter the event and your e-mail.<br \/>\n&#8211; You will get an e-mail with a cancellation link. Click the link.<br \/>\n&#8211; Your registration is then marked as cancelled. Your data is kept for the history (see point 6) but you are no longer on the participant list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11. Photos from events<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you check the photo box, you agree that photos of you can be published on the website or on social media. You can take this consent back at any time. Write an e-mail to the contact address. We will then not use new photos of you. Photos that are already online will be removed in a reasonable time.<\/p>\n<p><strong> 12. Changes to this privacy policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We may change this privacy policy if the plugin changes or the law changes. The date at the top shows the last update. For important changes, we inform you by e-mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong> 13.
